SPC Flooring

SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) Flooring is a rigid vinyl plank made from limestone powder, PVC, and stabilizers, designed for waterproof durability and dimensional stability. Featuring a click-lock system, wear layer, and decorative film, it is ideal for residential, commercial, and retail applications.

At AQS, we conduct comprehensive inspections of SPC flooring, focusing on dimensional accuracy, surface quality, structural stability, and click-lock functionality. Our meticulous checks ensure every plank meets global standards for performance, aesthetics, and export readiness.

AQS Inspection Process for
SPC Flooring

We implement rigorous inspection protocols for SPC flooring, focusing on dimensional accuracy, surface finish, click-lock functionality, and structural stability. Our detailed checks ensure each plank is defect-free, precisely sized, and ready for seamless installation and export.

Factory Visit & Production Confirmation

We begin with:

  • Verification of produced quantity vs. order
  • Product type (e.g., 4mm / 5mm / 6mm thickness with IXPE backing)
  • Design name, wear layer (0.3mm / 0.5mm), embossing type (EIR, wood grain, marble, etc.)

01

Warehouse Storage &
Batch Identification

We inspect:

  • Proper pallet stacking (horizontally or vertically based on design)
  • Batch codes, design separation, and shade labels
  • Pallet safety (shrink wrap, corner support, moisture barrier)

02

Random Sampling
(AQL Method)

Boxes are selected at random from multiple pallets and heights to evaluate the full production batch. We open boxes to inspect multiple planks from different layers.

03

Box Label &
Packaging Inspection

We check:

  • Correct design name and code
  • Size and total area per box (e.g., 6"×48", 7"×48", 9"×60")
  • Thickness, wear layer, and backing details
  • Export marking, logo, and barcodes (if private-labeled)

04

Internal Packing
Quality Check

We inspect:

  • Film wrap and corner padding between planks
  • Box sealing, taping, and crush resistance
  • Clean stacking with aligned click edges (to avoid bending or warp)

05

Visual Surface
Evaluation

Each plank is visually inspected under lighting for:

  • Surface defects: print line misalignment, gloss inconsistency, scratches, pinholes
  • Decor film sharpness and clarity
  • Embossing quality — especially for EIR (Embossed in Register) designs
  • Color consistency across planks

06

Click-Lock
System Inspection

We test:

  • Milling accuracy of click edges (tongue and groove profile)
  • Ease of locking (manual test of click-lock fit)
  • No breakage, chipping, or loose fitting
  • Edge smoothness and joint gap when locked together

Proper interlocking is key for installation success and long-term performance.

07

Dimensional &
Flatness Testing

We measure:

  • Length, width, and thickness using calipers
  • Squareness of corners and diagonals
  • Flatness on both ends (to prevent “lifted plank” installation issues)
  • Cupping or warping — using straight edge and feeler gauge

SPC planks must be flat and precisely milled for seamless installation.

08

Core Quality &
Structural Check

We cut and inspect the cross-section for:

  • Core density and uniformity
  • No air bubbles or resin voids
  • Firm bonding of layers: wear layer, print film, core, and IXPE/EVA backing

09

IXPE/EVA Backing
Evaluation (If Applicable)

We verify:

  • Backing material adhesion
  • Thickness of acoustic layer
  • No peeling, wrinkles, or detachment
  • Uniformity across all planks

10

Wear Layer & Scratch
Resistance Testing

We test:

  • Surface scratch resistance using manual tools (Mohs or nail test)
  • Wear layer clarity and protection level
  • For 0.3mm / 0.5mm wear layers, resistance to minor abrasion or sharp objects

11

Stain & Water
Resistance Test

We perform:

  • Water test on click joints and surface
  • Marker test (stain resistance) using ink, food, and cleaning products
  • Cleanability evaluation using a mild cloth and detergent

SPC is waterproof — but surface film defects can cause staining if not tested properly.

12

Final Packaging &
Pallet Check

We inspect:

  • Total number of boxes per pallet
  • Pallet strapping and shrink wrap integrity
  • Carton count matches packing list
  • Clear marking for container loading

13

Final Report &
Inspection Verdict

The report includes:

  • Photographs of planks, defects, click lock, edge close-ups
  • Size and dimension charts
  • Surface test remarks (scratches, stains, wear)
  • Approval recommendation (PASS / CONDITIONAL / RECHECK)

Submitted to the client within 24 hours.
