Sanitary Ware Installation Guide

1. General Installation Preparation

  • Check all items for cracks, glaze defects, or missing accessories before installation.
  • Keep installation manuals or templates ready.
  • Use only recommended grade sanitary silicone, anchor bolts, and thread sealants.
  • Ensure plumbing lines are flushed before connecting sanitaryware.

2. Wash Basin Installation

Type Key Steps
Wall-Hung Basin
  • Use wall template to mark bolt holes
  • Drill & fix anchor bolts securely
  • Seal back with silicone, connect waste & tap
Countertop Basin
  • Cut counter as per basin shape
  • Apply silicone below basin rim
  • Connect waste & tap above counter
Pedestal Basin
  • Fix basin to wall and rest on pedestal
  • Hide pipework inside pedestal
  • Seal contact points with silicone
  • Always ensure height from finished floor = 800–850 mm for user comfort.

3. Water Closet (WC) Installation

Type Key Steps
Floor-Mounted (S-trap / P-trap)
  • Place on setout point using manufacturer's template
  • Fix using anchor bolts or cement-based adhesive
  • Connect to waste pipe with sealing ring
  • Apply silicone around base
Wall-Hung WC
  • Ensure concealed tank is installed & tested before fixing WC
  • Mark bolt points, fix WC on wall carrier frame
  • Tighten bolts, connect flush pipe & waste outlet
  • Test flush before sealing with silicone
  • Standard height from floor to top rim (WC): 400–430 mm
  • For western toilets, test both flush performance and water seal depth.

4. Urinal Installation

  • Install urinal brackets or frame at recommended height
  • Connect flush inlet and drain outlet.
  • Apply silicone around edges
  • Optional: install urinal partition walls for public use

Ideal height from floor to urinal lip:

  • Men : 610–650 mm
  • Boys: 350–450 mm

5. Silicone Sealing & Final Finishing

  • Use non-staining, waterproof sanitary silicone
  • Seal contact points between sanitaryware and walls/floor
  • Wipe excess before it cures
  • Leave silicone to cure 24 hours before using fixtures

6. Post-Installation Checks
