Our quality control process ensures your walls reflect not just beauty, but trust

Sanitary Wares

Sanitary ware products like toilets, wash basins, urinals, and pedestals are critical bathroom components where both functionality and finish must meet stringent quality standards. Precision in dimensions, smooth glazing, and structural integrity are essential to ensure long-term performance and visual appeal.

At AQS, we conduct comprehensive inspections of sanitary ware items, assessing flush performance, surface finish, dimensional accuracy, and packaging integrity. Our meticulous process ensures that each piece is export-ready, minimizing risks of defects, installation issues, and costly customer complaints.

AQS Testing Parameters
AQS Inspection Process for
Sanitary Wares

We implement targeted inspection protocols for toilets, basins, urinals, and pedestals, focusing on dimensional accuracy, surface glazing, functional testing, and structural integrity. Our comprehensive checks ensure every sanitary ware item meets international quality standards and is ready for hassle-free installation.

Factory Visit &
Production Verification

We begin by confirming:

  • Quantity produced against the client’s order
  • Types and models (e.g., one-piece WCs, wall-hung toilets, table-top basins)
  • Readiness of all items for visual and technical inspection

01

Warehouse Storage &
Handling Check

We inspect:

  • Safe stacking of products using foam spacers or thermocol
  • Protection against scratching, chipping, or contact damage
  • Proper segregation of models and packing references

02

Random Sampling
by AQL Method

Using AQL guidelines, we select pieces randomly from different pallets or crates to ensure unbiased and representative inspection of the total lot.

03

Packaging &
Labeling Verification

We check:

  • Model name/code, color (usually ivory or white), and size
  • Factory branding or private label artwork (if applicable)
  • Export marking (e.g., “Made in India”, barcodes, client logos)
  • Inner packing quality (polybags, bubble wrap, foam edge covers)

04

Visual Surface
Inspection

Each sampled piece is carefully inspected under strong lighting to check:

  • Glazing uniformity across surface, internal bowl, and edges
  • Surface defects: pinholes, black spots, glazing skips, hairline cracks
  • Color tone consistency
  • Brand marking clarity (if printed on product)

Even small visual defects can be unacceptable in high-end or visible installations.

05

Dimensional &
Shape Accuracy

We use measuring tools to verify:

  • Overall height, width, and depth
  • Positioning of inlet/outlet holes, mounting points, bolt holes
  • Symmetry of bowl curvature, rim flatness, and wall contact areas
  • Compatibility with installation accessories (seat covers, flush tanks)

Dimensional accuracy is critical to avoid rejection at the project site.

06

Functional Testing
(Where Applicable)

For toilets and flushing systems, we perform tests including:

  • Flush Test (Manual Simulation)
  • Jet Hole / Siphon Functionality
  • Water Seal Depth
  • Mounting & Fitting Check

07

Load & Structural
Integrity Check

For wall-hung toilets, basins, and pedestal units, we check:

  • Weight-bearing capacity (field test with applied manual load)
  • Signs of micro-cracks or hidden glaze weakness
  • Proper curing (no hollow sound on tapping)

08

Accessory Matching &
Packaging Check

We verify:

  • Correct pairing of seat covers, flush tanks, bottle traps, nuts & bolts
  • Foam/styrofoam placement to prevent transit movement
  • Label inside box with product code and contents
  • Box strength and taping quality

09

Final Inspection
Report

Final Inspection Report:

  • High-resolution images of each model
  • Noted defects with location and description
  • Size verification chart
  • Functional test results (if applicable)
  • Inspector remarks and approval recommendation

Report is delivered to the client within 24 hours.

Why Sanitary Ware Inspection Is Critical

Sanitary ware products are installed in highly visible, final-use areas where defects like chipped basins, poor flush performance, or uneven rims can’t be corrected once mounted. Even minor issues can lead to client complaints, costly rework, and reputational damage.

At AQS, we ensure that every piece is crack-free, perfectly glazed, and flush-ready, with precise dimensions for accurate fitting. Our inspections cover everything from functional testing to packaging integrity, guaranteeing export-ready products that meet stringent international standards for quality and performance.
