Full Body Porcelain Tiles

Full Body Porcelain Tiles, also known as Through-Body Vitrified Tiles, are engineered for exceptional durability and uniform color throughout the tile body. Designed for heavy-duty applications, they are ideal for airports, shopping malls, and industrial floors where both aesthetic consistency and mechanical strength are crucial.

At AQS, we conduct comprehensive inspections to ensure that each tile meets rigorous standards for dimensional accuracy, surface integrity, and through-body color consistency, guaranteeing optimal performance in high-traffic commercial environments.

AQS Inspection Process for
Full Body Porcelain Tiles

We implement specialized inspection protocols to verify the dimensional precision, surface consistency, and mechanical strength of full body porcelain tiles. Our rigorous checks ensure each tile is built to withstand heavy traffic while maintaining uniform color and texture throughout the tile body.

Factory Visit & Production
Quantity Verification

We begin by visiting the factory to verify:

  • Total quantity produced vs. order requirement
  • Batch readiness for QC
  • Proper batch labeling and segregation by size and design

01

Warehouse Physical
Stock Check

The inspector checks:

  • Pallet organization
  • Safe stacking and shrink wrapping
  • Shade/batch identification
  • Physical condition of stored material

02

Random Sampling from
Different Batches

Boxes are selected using AQL sampling method, ensuring coverage across:

  • Different pallets
  • Multiple production days (if applicable)
  • Top/middle/bottom of stacks

03

Box Weight
Measurement

Using a calibrated scale, we weigh each selected box to verify:

  • Standard box weight based on size/thickness
  • Uniformity in material packing
  • Signs of moisture, incorrect tile count, or packing issues

04

Transfer to
QC Zone

Sampled boxes are brought to a clean and leveled inspection area to carry out visual, physical, and technical testing.

05

Outer Packaging &
Label Check

We verify:

  • Product name, size, and design code
  • Shade number and batch marking
  • Factory logo, client branding (if any)
  • Export labeling requirements

Consistency with the approved packaging reference is mandatory.

06

Internal Packing
Material Check

We inspect:

  • Box strength and sealing quality
  • Separator sheets or foam between tiles
  • Corner protection (if applicable)
  • Clean stacking and uniform tile alignment inside boxes

As full-body tiles are heavier and thicker, good internal packing is crucial for safe transport.

07

Tile Laying & Visual
Surface Inspection

Tiles from each box are laid on the floor to simulate real installation. We examine:

  • Surface appearance for manufacturing marks, black spots, or material defects
  • Color and texture uniformity across the lot
  • Design accuracy in speckled, double-loaded, or textured full-body finishes
  • Edge cutting quality
  • Joint matching and visual alignment

Though these tiles are not printed or glazed, their texture, tone, and surface finish must be consistent for seamless application.

08

Reference Sample
Comparison (if available)

If the client has provided a master sample, we perform a side-by-side comparison for:

  • Color match
  • Body texture
  • Surface finish
  • Grain or speckle pattern alignment (in double-loaded variants)

09

Technical Testing & ISO
Standard Checks

The final report includes:

  • Dimensional Accuracy (ISO 10545-2)
  • Warpage & Flatness (ISO 10545-2)
  • Water Absorption (ISO 10545-3)
  • Breaking Strength & Modulus of Rupture (ISO 10545-4)
  • Deep Abrasion Resistance (ISO 10545-6)
  • Mohs Surface Hardness Test
  • Slip Resistance / Anti-Skid Check (R Rating / Field Test)
  • Stain & Chemical Resistance (ISO 10545-13 & 14)

10

Final Inspection
Report & Summary

All findings are documented in a structured PDF report, including:

  • High-resolution tile photos
  • Size, flatness, and absorption results
  • Surface or packing defect images
  • Inspector’s conclusion and recommendation

Report is sent to the client within 24 hours.
