Ceramic Wall Tiles

Ceramic wall tiles are a popular choice for residential and commercial interiors, offering versatility in design and visual appeal. However, maintaining precision in sizing, surface finish, and structural integrity is essential to achieve flawless installations.

At AQS, we implement a rigorous inspection process to ensure each batch meets both aesthetic and technical standards. Our comprehensive checks cover dimensional accuracy, glaze consistency, and durability, safeguarding against defects that could impact installation quality or long-term performance.

AQS Testing Parameters
AQS Inspection Process for
Ceramic Wall Tiles

We conduct meticulous inspections to verify that every ceramic wall tile meets stringent standards for dimensional precision, surface finish, and structural integrity, ensuring flawless installations and long-lasting performance.

Factory Visit & Order
Quantity Verification

The inspection begins by verifying that the produced quantity matches the purchase order. This confirms readiness for inspection and helps avoid quantity-related discrepancies

01

Warehouse Visit &
Stock Confirmation

Our inspector visits the factory warehouse to physically verify the available finished stock and ensure it is segregated and identifiable for inspection.

02

Random
Sampling of Boxes

Using AQL sampling standards, we randomly select boxes from different pallets and batches. This ensures the inspection covers the full production range, not just handpicked pieces.

03

Box Weight
Measurement

We weigh each selected box using a digital scale to check for:

  • Underfilled or overfilled packaging
  • Excess moisture (if not fully dried)
  • Packaging inconsistency

Any deviation is flagged immediately.

04

Sample Transfer
to QC Area

Selected boxes are transferred to the factory’s QC area, where sufficient space, lighting, and flat surfaces are available for proper inspection.

05

Box Artwork &
Label Verification

We verify:

  • Product name and size
  • Shade number
  • Batch code and design sticker
  • Logo and branding elements

This ensures packaging and design match the client’s approved artwork.

06

Internal Packaging
Material Check

Before removing tiles, we inspect the internal packing quality, including:

  • Box strength and sealing
  • Surface protector sheets (paper/foam)
  • Corner protectors or spacers
  • Tile alignment inside the box

Good internal packing is critical to prevent damage during transit.

07

Tile Laying for
Visual Inspection

Tiles are laid out side-by-side to simulate real-world installation. We check:

  • Surface defects: chips, pinholes, glaze issues, print errors
  • Shade consistency and gloss uniformity
  • Edge quality and joint alignment
  • Finish type (glossy/matte) consistency

This step reveals actual visual behavior of the tiles once installed.

08

Master Sample Matching
(Reference Tile Check)

We compare the production tiles with the client-approved master tile to ensure:

  • Exact match in design, color, and texture
  • Surface feel and gloss level consistency
  • No deviation from approved look and feel

Any variation is documented with photos and shared with the client for confirmation.

09

Technical Testing &
Measurement Checks

Using multiple-point measurements, we check:

  • Size & Diagonal Accuracy
  • Thickness Measurement
  • Tile Curvature / Flatness Test
  • Permanent Marker Test
  • Breaking Strength / Modulus of Rupture (M.O.R.)

10

Final Reporting &
Client Communication

All inspection findings — including visuals, measurements, test results, and remarks — are compiled into a detailed inspection report. This report is shared with the client within 24 hours, enabling informed decisions for shipment approval or necessary corrections.

11

Why It Matters

Ceramic wall tiles are often used in high-visibility areas where even minor defects can be highly noticeable, impacting the overall aesthetic and installation quality. At AQS, we meticulously inspect each tile for dimensional accuracy, surface consistency, and structural integrity to prevent issues such as uneven joints, mismatched shades, or surface imperfections.

By ensuring defect-free tiles, we help you avoid costly rework, minimize customer complaints, and maintain a strong brand reputation for quality and reliability in demanding markets.
